Who? They have 3 games left.

2-7 Boston
5-4 Wake
6-3 USC.

Have you watched them play?

They beat Purdue in the final minute 20-17.
They got lucky and beat Stanford on a horrible call.
They beat BYU late 17-14.
They beat Pitt very late and got LUCKY to win 29-26. If Pitt makes a chip shot FG they lose to them.

ND could lose to Wake and probably will lose to USC. Have you seen Woods and Lee at USC?? ND can NOT cover those guys.

I hear ya, but if Oregon loses a close regular season game, then wins the PAC12CG I think the voters would move them ahead of us.

Best case scenario would be Oregon losing PAC12CG by 10 or so. Anything closer and they're going to get their shot at the SEC Champ instead of a Bama LSU rematch, same way Okie State should have last year.

Guaranteed.

The voters do have a bad taste from last year... If all this happens and LSU gets screwed, it will suck!

Just thinking this through more, and even if everything goes the way you say, and Oregon loses the PAC12CG, our biggest problem may end up being Florida State.

If they close out the regular season with a win over Florida, who beat us, and win the ACCCG as a 1 loss team, I just don't see voters putting a 2 loss team in a rematch. And I think that's the right thing.

I think ideally, Oregon goes and beats Oregon, and we get to play FSU in Sugar.

I think that would be as good as it gets for us at this point.

And I could deal with that!!

Unfortunately, I think we would have to be clearly above any other choice the voters have - meaning everyone else would have to have at least 2 losses.

The voters control it at the end of the day, and while it appears they wanted a rematch last year, I believe they only REALLY wanted to see Bama in the NC and used the 'they really are the best team' argument.

I'd love to be wrong, but if Bama is already in, voting for a rematch will be the last thing they want. We'd have to win out 60-0 every game, and the other top 10s would have to lose by about the same - twice.

i have no doubt they would put them in !!
