Lafayette
Comeaux
Northside are in the city limits

Acadiana
Carencro are not

Lafayette needs a new public school in the Broussard area but land is expensive, they don't have the money to take care of the facilities they have now and building in Broussard or youngsville would cause rezoning in the other schools that would dramatically change the enrollment demographics at Lafayette and Comeaux

How are they so cash strapped? It's not like it's a poor area. I know they've been having issues with the older buildings at the elem and jr high level, is that what's sucking them dry?
