My awesome experience in Baton Rouge

I've never been to an away game before, so I was pumped up for this trip. We got in on Thursday and went to Bogie's that night. LSU girls are fantastic, and I've never been to a bar where bartenders walk on the bar and pour Jager down people's throats, so that was cool
Ended the night at Plucker's, and say two fights almost break out and both were between LSU fans
Got up on Friday and went to Voodoo's BBQ for lunch and their pulled pork sandwich is pretty damn good. Plus 2 for 1 beers? Can't beat that. Friday night we went to Fred's for their free drinks. Again, free drinks? I love Baton Rouge. Got Tiger Baited in Fred's, but I rolled with it and the LSU fans couldn't have been nicer.
Tailgated our asses off on Saturday, and holy shite, LSU fans are awesome. Everyone was pretty nice, they just wanted us to eat and drink and we were happy to oblige. I was ready to get shite talked and verbally abused, but that never happened, just friendly competitive banter, which I was REALLY surprised at. Tiger Stadium is a cool looking stadium, I wish I had had a ticket and was able to experience it first hand. We watched the game at Bogie's, and that was pretty fun. I was one of maybe 3 Bama fans in there, so I got a lot of looks when I got excited about Bama's plays
After the game ended I was prepared to GTFO because I felt like I was about to get jumped, but the exact opposite happened. Many LSU fans shook my hand, complimented me on the toughness of the game, and we all got drunk.
Woke up with a massive hangover, went to Mason's Grill for brunch, and finally got home exhausted but missing Baton Rouge. My opinion of LSU fans has really changed, fwiw. Y'all are great people and I can't wait to make a return trip.

Nice report. Glad you enjoyed the experience.
Too bad some people can't read more than 3 sentences.

It's amazing what happens when you're in an area that isn't entirely consumed with a college football team
