i level the same criticisms towards any football coach

If you were to lay this personal measuring stick of what defines a truly great coach and coaching effort that you have in your head, on any coach in college they would all come out as stupid, retarded, scared, and unfit.

there is no platonic ideal of a CFB coach

although i give chip kelly credit...he's improving his overall game. i wonder what he could do at a real school in a state with talent (esp on Ol/DL)

Truth is you really only lay this unrealistic standard upon one coach. Les Miles.

no i don't

it's the same standard for all coaches

i only post about one coach on this board, b/c this board is about LSU and we have 1 head football coach

Is that why you've been doing mental gymnastics all day to justify all of Saban's frickups over the course of his career?

Now I can't even take anything you say serious. Chip Kelly? He just gave up 615 yards of offense last night. You want to criticize a coach? That's retarded and will never win a championship. Miles is head and shoulders better- proved it last year. Keep trying.

i wonder if Chip Kelly would have a top 10 team if he lost 8-10 starters and had a patchwork o-line. i think we both know the answer to that.
