How often do you wax your bow strings?

Just getting into this whole bowhunting gig. Bought my setup last year but didn't shoot a whole lot. Was just wondering how often you guys recommend waxing the strings and any other routine maintenance that you guys would suggest.

once, maybe twice a season depending how much i shoot and how frade they are.

I usually wax my string at least once to twice a week, in between the times my wife waxes it for me.

What rig did you buy? I've been wanting to get back into bow hunting for a couple of years, but not wanting to spend 1500 on a bow.
