I am sorry that you and downshift feel that way. I can appreciate some discipline but that mentality doesn't fit into my program. To each his own though.

I'm not saying you need to stomp your dogs head in or anything. I just like old school dog raising. Has always worked well for me.

i have trained my labs in the past, never needed to physically touch them.... i make my voice deep and loud and they practically crapped themselves... so that works for me
