I can't believe I'm saying this as I have always been a Chevy man but if any vehicle your looking at has the 5.3 l v8 with afm/dod were it drops to 4 cylinder at steady speeds you may want to do your research. Those motors have been having oil burn off issues due to failed piston rings. I recently had this happen on my 2010 silverado crew cab z71 at 40,000 miles. In the process now of doing an oil consumption test which is just a hoop gm has you go through before they start changing things. I'm reading that the only way to fix the oil burn off problems is to replace the pistons and rings which out of warrsnty can be pricy. Many people have said the more you use the afm the worse oil burn off you get.

Sorry if tl;dr but just have been warning everyone of this problem Aperantly it may effect all alum block v8s wih afm dod since 07

Navy Federal just approved my $ request.

I'll be getting a check in soon that says: Good up to $45,000 so I can walk into any dealership and say: Cash, bitches! Hook me up!
