I read on the rant how Miles is an idiot . First I will say I don't agree with every thing miles does, but I don't think he is an idiot. LSU plays in the SEC, the toughest conference in America. He has won 80% of his games. Wow! Both Mac Brown and Bob Stoops would love to have his record. Both Texas and Okalahoma both recruit as well as LSU and are not able to win at the same percentage as LSU. And they don't play the schedule LSU plays! Are they idiots?

Bob and Mac are washed up

Bob and Mack would also love to have Chavis.

Miles would love to have their schedule! Also Miles hired The Chief and leaves him alone.

Maybe crawfish, but I remember when he hired the Chief a lot of people were upset due to his repatation of playing soft on 3rd downs. LSU does play good teams. The have had tough schedules the past several years. Alabama has been Lucky and has not had to play the east powers the past several years.

les needs to take what he did with the chief and do the same with offense. replace the problem oc and then leave the new one alone

THIS!!!
my son and I were discussing the same thing you said after watching Stoops choke again. Yes there are times i 2nd guess too. We have that right. But a lot of spoiled fans take it too far. Other fanbases are shocked at how we act towards our coach and team.

He is not an idiot. But he needs to fix the offense, there is no reason in the world that Ole Miss and aTm should be better on offense than LSU.

Les is the right coach for this team there are games he leaves me wanting more but most games I am thrilled with the outcome

Les Miles is only as good as his defensive coordinator (see 2008). He is a great recruiter and provides a great talent pool for a good defensive coordinator to operate with. Oddly enough, defense is the one area of the team that Miles takes a hands off approach and it is the one area that makes us a dominant football team.
The thing that frustrates me (and a lot of people) the most is that there have only been a handful of games since 2005 where I felt like Miles got the most out of his players, i.e. played to the absolute top of their ability (such as 2006 ND, 2007 VT (and maybe Fla.), 2009 Peach Bowl, 2010 Cotton Bowl). This is especially true on the offensive end of the football.

I don't think you need to have a great great offense with the style of play especially on defense that we have. I don't the #1 team in the country has as good of an offense as tam or ole miss. But we do need to improve. I think the offense is whats keeping us from being undefeated and #1 now. We have a chance with no turnovers, no dropped passes. Our margin for error is thin.

Sooo we didn't play well enough when we rocked Oregon in Dallas last year? Or when we throttled West Virginia on the road? How bad did you want to beat Washington this year? Everyone thought they would give us a run for our money and we beat them by 38. Comments like this are pretty dumb.

I agree we don't need a top ten offense, but we don't even have a top 50 and to me that is unacceptable at LSU.

I don't think the play calling has been that bad this year. We have actually thrown the ball alot this year. The problem is we have lost 3 O linemen and the receivers have dropped over 25 balls. Agaist Florida alone they droped 5 passes that would have resulted in fist downs. This does not count OBJ fumbling the ball on one of the passs he caught. These were not difficult catches. Players have to make the plays.
