It matters none at this point but I wonder if LSU will likely drop a spot in the BCS this week from 6 to 7 with Georgia taking the #6 spot.
I'm certainly no lsumatt but I'm expecting:
1. Alabama, 2. Kansas State, 3. Notre Dame, 4. Oregon, 5. Florida, 6. Georgia, 7. LSU, 8. Oklahoma, 9, South Carolina, 10. Louisville this week.

LSU beat USCe, USCe beat Georgia, Georgia beat FLA, FLA beat LSU. Who would be ranked ahead?

LSU will be above UF. It will be LSU UGA UF, You know OU lost right? Bad...

but if you look at the computers, they still love Florida and Oklahoma and now love Georgia too. Sagarin has Oklahoma #5 with Alabama at #7 and Oregon #8.
I'll stick with my predicted BCS above for this week. Florida and Georgia ahead of LSU and Oklahoma still in the top 10.

I was thinking LSU at 5. Comp still loving LSU, just would matter where pollsters put us. Am I thinking that out right?
Posted on 10/28/12 at 9:52 am to tjtiger9
I look at it as if everyone won. UF would fall to 9/10. With all those teams losing 7,8,9, Id put UF or UGA 6/7

I'm not saying what I THINK it should be. Just predicted what it WILL be. We agree on top 4.
Neither the human voters nor computers will put LSU ahead of Florida. Only question will be if Georgia is ahead or behind us in BCS.

I hope I'm surprised in the way you are expecting me to be. If so, it will be a pleasant one.
But I don't expect to be surprised tonight.

Whats the point BCS object is to pic #1 and #2.
When LSU beats bama LSU can't get above K state,
Nortre Dame,or Oregon . If bama doesn't win out
there won't be an SEC team in Miamai

LSU will be #5 in the BCS tonight, ahead of Florida and Georgia. Not that it matters, though, because if we win out we will be above both of them regardless (after beating one of them in the process and winning the SEC).
At this point, the road to Miami is clear for LSU:
1. Win out
2. Need 2 of 3 to lose: Oregon, Kansas State, Notre Dame
3. Go to Miami
(and FWIW, while we only need 2/3 to lose, I think Oregon, Kansas State, and Notre Dame all drop a game)
Kansas State (will lose to TCU or Texas)
vs Oklahoma St
@ TCU
@ Baylor
vs Texas
Oregon (will lose to USC or Oregon State)
@ USC
@ Cal
vs Stanford
@ Oregon St
Pac12 CG (USC)
Notre Dame (will lose to Pitt or USC)
vs Pitt
@ Boston College
vs Wake Forrest
@ USC

Oklahoma still in the top 10.
You really think that Oklahoma will keep enough human voters (2/3 of the whole thing) to stay in the top 10 after getting beaten by 17 at home for their 2nd loss?
Not going to happen.

Yes

Who would ever imagine LSU pulling for USC but it appears that what it is down to? Washington wins really help us in the computer rankings.

No question we are USC fans (which sucks to have to root for USC, but at least we know they are out of the national race so we don't have to worry about that).
Assuming LSU wins out, USC can single-handedly put LSU in the national title game by beating Notre Dame and Oregon (and they'll probably have two shots at Oregon in the regular season and Pac12 CG).
