How often do people even use the start button anyway? I had shortcut icons on the desktop for just about everything.

I like to keep a clean desktop. I use the start button a lot. A LOT.

I've said since the first time I even saw a video on Win8.. it's all gimmick. That whole flashy metro screen is bullshite for normal PCs, and most people who use it will turn it off. It's probably great for tablets, but hell if I want that on my desktop.

I wouldn't mind the start screen if it was built for multitasking like the desktop.

I get what they are trying to do, but they just didn't do a good job.

I imagine Windows 9 will be much better just like they built on the mistakes of Vista to come out with 7.

Problem is that 8 is going to piss more people off than Vista at an exponential level.

I'm only on day 2 and I haven't really poked around much. There might be some things I will really like but haven't found yet.
