Things I hope Les Miles is working on these two weeks before Bama

IMHO these are things that can help LSU BEAT bama.
Bama defense is Fast, Aggressive, and Physical. Our O'Llin is young. There are a couple of ways to slow down that defense, and no one Bama has played has figured it out.
The first thing I would work on is Tight End play. To stop Bama from getting to Mett, I think that Bama LB's need to be put in check. How is this done? By play action, TE passes 7-10 yards and sit or slant to the inside. If this can be done two things will come out of it. 1. It will open the run through the tackles. 2. The safeties and CB's will begin to cheat up and inside opening the long pass.
Second thing I would do is start using the screen pass. This bama defense is aggressive. Is there a better way to take advantage of that defense?
Your Opinions????

Been saying that Nic Jacobs over the middle and screen plays have been highly underutilized. Those two things could open up the run and open up the opportunity for the deep ball. LSU just has to execute the plays once they open up, which they haven't done consistently yet.

Attitude, discipline and playing more physical than them. Hopefully they are beat up a little from the Ms State game....
I would love to see LSU beat Alabama physically...

I've been saying on here since the get go of the season part of the reason our passing game is shite is because we don't use TEs or PA very often. With the running game LSU has, there should be no reason TEs shouldn't be open, especially on PA. Bama will force LSU to throw it, the question is whether or not they'll answer the challenge. I'm sure they'll take some shots down field, probably unsuccessfully. The key is going to be play action and screens. If LSU decides to not use the PA or any screens, look for a very, very long night.

Counters and other misdirection plays should also be useful. Get those guys running one direction, then hit 'em hard going the other way.
One thing we are beginning to do is use the slant and go route. You just know those Bama DBs will be cheating up. Mett will have to hit that slant and go route to get some cushion.

I hope he's working on a Crown & water.

I hope he is thinking he needs to slow the offense down even more and focus on ball control. A lot of option I think is what he needs to do.

Rosetta or somebody said that they were hitting the recruiting trail this week.
Correction: it was Shea Dixon.

Yeah...and maybe he can take a few more timeouts just to slow things down even more.

I don't think options will work on the defense. They are too fast.

We do too many slants. Once the DB's cheat up to defend the slants, and Metts inability to read it, pick 6's will come.

I think you are a winner. You have said what everyone has been saying.Apparently, the OC never reads the rant. Then again, maybe he can't read.

The only bad thing is that I DON'T think CLM nor the OC is reading stuff like this. If I can see the trends on offenseand you can see them, I am SURE that Bama's Saban, OC's and DC's can see them....
Just wish he would ADD those two/three SIMPLE plays because they would/could make a HUGE difference in the outcome of this game.

good points...we need to keep bama off balance and throw something at them they haven't seen or prepared for. maybe something like Bolden in a redzone wildcat?
