CLM has recruited well at all positions EXCEPT QB!! Jarrett Lee was supposed to be "All Everything" in TX but turned out to be below average; JJ, well....Mett, TBD

Wow. We have had 2 highly recruited QBs commit to LSU over the past 4 years to bail at the eleventh hour.

JL wasn't all-everything in texas and the guy was pretty good QB for LSU. IF you want to pin his RS freshman year on him becasue of the pick 6's you are a complete tard. We had the 12th rated defense in the SEC that year and he wasn't even the starter going into the season. Perilloux got axed shortly before the season for being an idiot, Hatch got knocked out against Auburn. Lee went from 3rd string to starter by the 4th week of the season and got to pop his cherry as a starting QB in the middle of SEC play.

JJ - Hate him or love him, the guy won games for LSU and won alot of them. Like all QBs, he had issues in his game, but he laid it out on the field and in the end, he helped us get to 13-0 last season.

Mett - Different style of QB. He is a J.Russell type QB. He will be good before he leaves. It's very difficult as a pocket-passer to have a revolving door as an OL. It messes with confidence and that is a big deal. Getting our OL set(and it seems we have since the SC game) will help Mett get more confident in his protection. That makes a world of difference to a QB, especially one that got knocked out in his first start. Give him time. Rarely anyone is great their first year.
