What does this question have to do with what you quoted?
And Bama was not clearly better. Since Bama didn't play OSU, the only thing you can base that on is their resumes, and with the exception of who had the better loss, OSU's was better.
The whole idea of settle it on the field was throw out the window when a rematch of division teams was allowed to happen.
