That's like judging Les Miles on only out of conference and bowl games. "Well.... he finished 3-5 in the SEC, but we whipped the shite out of Purdue in the Old Spice Armpit Bowl."

If we didn't hire him to QUALIFY FOR THE frickING WORLD CUP, why is he coaching the national team?

There are probably dozens of roles within US Soccer that don't have that as a specific deliverable.

I know it has been debated on the board a million times but you have to play with what you have. Everyone wants to play like Barca which is all fine and good if you have Iniesta, Messi etc...So far it seems that Jurgen does less with more where as Bob often times did more with less from a results standpoint. Bob got killed for playing "Bradley Ball" but at least he wasn't trying to make the USMNT into something that it cannot be. Hopefully we get the result tomorrow and over time Jurgen's style will pay off in Brazil but right now I'm not seeing it.
