I don't understand why a team who is fighting to get fans interested in the Hornets doesn't show preseason games locally. I think the preseason would have been a great opportunity to get the new announcing team acclimated with players on the new FoxSportsWherever

yea doesn't make any sense plus the TV deal is not even finished yet

From what 247 was told by David Wesley, they are still figuring out what shows they are even going to do. Broadcasting a game is not as simple as sending a few cameramen and commentators to the arena. On top of that, it sounds like FoxSports is still in negotiations with the local providers, so if preseason ratings were below expectations, it could effect the price they are negotiating.
Hopefully next year everything will be set up for preseason Voodoo games.
