It takes about 5 years of mistakes to get good at Bowhunting.. I've killed some great deer with my bow, but its a sport of hard nocks..(pun). When to stand, when to draw, deer behavior(do I shoot low), wind, stand placement, when to track(wait an hour, or overnight) scent control, target panic.....Don't get discouraged, its an awesome sport, and just about the only way I hunt deer, now....

if you ever get to a point where you are not shaking, or at least very excited drawing back (even on a doe), then just quit huhnting! Sounds like an awesome hunt.
