exactly, a lot of people don't really understand how theCW programming works.. it's easily the closest "network" station to how Cable TV shows work.. except in a more.. screwed up way.
I think of Warner Bros. as the Samsung / Sony of the Entertainment world. They make sooo much money off of so many different avenues, that TheCW itself is only a piece of the puzzle.. it ends up being great for people that watch shows like Supernatural or Smallville, because you end up getting some great TV, even after the ratings have dropped enough to justify the show being cancelled.. in that regards - theCW is the closest thing you get to an old school TV show setup.. the show might actually survive past 4 seasons, just because theCW is always hoping for better ratings.. and giving development teams "2nd chances"
Spot on my friend. Can you imagine if Chuck would've landed on CW instead of NBC? Although CW wasn't very kind to Reaper they have by and large treated "cult" favorites very well. Plus we probably would've gotten some Chuck comics too but I digress.

I might be mistaken on this, but I don't think Warner produced Reaper. Networks are less kind to shows their studio doesn't produce, because they don't stand to make anything off the afterlife of the series (streaming, DVD sales, etc).
Even if Arrow's ratings dip, it will get more chances, because all of Warner Bros stands to gain the longer the show is on the air. Vertical integration. Jack Donaghy would be proud.
