See...this is where the story loses me. If McQueary was so appalled by what he saw in the showers that day then why didn't he report it to the police after it was apparent that Paterno was going to do nothing? And, if McQueary was so disgusted by Sandusky, why was he his partner at a golf tournament less than a year later?

I won't pretend to know the answers. They are good questions, I wouldn't be surprised if there was some kind of assistance to McQueary that we don't know about; maybe we will never know. This is pure speculation as I have no idea whatsoever.

Paterno would have likely axed him. Paterno was a kingpen.

McQueary was a young 20 something or other GA who went to his dad for advice, like any son under these circumstances (JoPa as the all powerful HC, Sandusky a revered hero, etc etc) would have done. When JoPa told him that he would take care of it, then to most 20 yr olds, that would suffice. Never heard bout him playing golf with Sandusky, all I've heard is his comments that he would get up & walk out of a room if Sandusky entered it.
