That's my main beef with the offense, the "philosophy" is fine, but you have to use scheme to create advantage, you can't expect every player to win every play. This is really the only difference in Bama's offense and LSU's, they do a good job of using motion to create a mis-match, or using the little pick play to create an open receiver, or crossing routes, screens, etc. Those plays aren't complex, but have little elements that put players in better position to make plays.

All true. I'm a fan of ball control, and establishing the run, but you have to keep people honest, at the very least. When you go to a pocket passing QB with very limited mobility, you can't run Navy and Georgia Tech's passing game.
