That's why I have no confidence going forward. All the greats evolve. They don't continue to run the same exact offense for a decade thinking it will work. They recognize where their strengths are and call plays according to those strengths. A different offense has to be called for a weak offensive line as compared to a strong one. Miles will not change it though. Or at least I don't have faith that he will. Now if he is trolling us all and comes out against SC running a Spread Offense the entire game, I will gladly eat crow.

If Lsu doesn't change some things up, the fans and players will be looking at an 8-4 record and a goofy eccentric coach that uses big words.

He's only 18-2 over last 20 games and people are amazed that he wants to keep doing what has obviously worked in the past. I'd imagine there are quite a few coaches who would be more than happy to have Les' success.

In addition to this, one of the biggest concerns I have about Miles and LSU's offense is that every game seems to be utlizing 100% of the playbook with no team-specific preparation or gameplan.
Most HC's and OC's have an offense that consists of 15-20 run plays with variations depending on formation, and 50-75 pass plays varying on type of offense and how many variations they depeding on formation.
For any given game, most coaches and OC's will take their playbook with approx. 80-100 plays and whittle it down to 40 or so depending on what plays will be the most successful against the opponent for that week. They then practice only those specific plays against the scout team.
You will never see an OC use his entire playbook against an opponent because a good OC and HC knows that not every play can be effective against every opponent.
I have no reason to believe this process occurs with LSU's game preparation.

Perfectly said.
Now, as far as changing it, we'll see. But I see there are morons in this thread that take everything Miles says literally.
