what motivates a fan to find every negative about LSU

i know our team is not playing as well as last year and may not be as good but most seasons most teams go thru an ebb and flow cycle when they have young players, esp on offense.
i'm curious as to what makes a fan go out of their way to find negative articles from bloggers, former players and opposing teams, etc and post them as certifyable fact that our coaches suck. it always happens when our team regresses and it always happens after a loss (damn few of those) or a sloppy performance. it never happens after a solid win. this phenominon (sp) began after saban left, or after miles was hired if you will. imo, some of our fans are just looking for negatives and then publicize them vociferously. often, they post stuff about how the coaches or team "feels" or "thinks" and post it as fact. often they call our hc names like "buffoon" or "idiot". they look for reasons why the team doesn't perform to their expectations, decide on the remedy and go with their "remedy" with vitriol and call others names that may disagree with even part or what they say. i understand passion for LSU, i understand that the team is struggling right now, i understand that the offense is out of sync, etc. but i'm not ready to hang stud, krags and miles. they are the same coaches we had last year that posted a 13-1 record. this situation is so bad that it threatens to ruin the season reading this shite. and sadly, it seems like it's the same peoople doing this. i recognize some names but i'm not going to do the research. if true, i have to ask..."are these people really lsu fans or are they fans of other schools over here just to start shite" and i'm not talking about the posters that are simply critical, i'm talking the ones that AUTOMATICALLY AND IMMEDIATELY want to chunk the coaching staff and start over. the ones that hold miles to an IMPOSSIBLE standard; a standard that is higher than the standard nick saban was held to. sorry about the length of this rant.

true and i'm probably wasting my time trying figure out why they hate. i just don't understand 100% hate and at this stage in my life i probably never will. there is no objectivety in hate. while that's probably the answer to my question regarding motivation, i am at loss as to why these people hate miles so much and why they choose to denigrate him.

I have often wondered the same thing.

Ignore the flame-thrower and name-callers, but negatigers like me have valid concerns about our coaching staff. Remember, Miles had a couple of down years after our last national championship, which simply shouldn't happen. With the anemic performance of our offense, undiscliplined and inconsistent play, and lack of preparedness, it's legitimate to question the coaching staff. Not everything is Miles' fault, of course, but a truly great coach builds on success and keeps his team playing at a consistently high level (see Saban). And we're just not seeing that from Miles. Yes, we're winning, and that's the ultimate goal, but a knowledgable fan looks beyond mere wins and losses to analysis the performance of the team. And this year, so far, is very alarming.

Because of our expectations of excellence. We have top of the line fan base, facilities, money backing, coaching salaries, recruits, etc
It was done that way with the intent of everything being in place to have top of the line performances on Saturdays.
Frustration sets in when you see performances that show a breakdown in teaching/coaching and a players on field actions.
Is it the coaches, YES! Even if a player is giving below expected performance, it falls back on the coaches...they either miss on the evaluation or missed on their job of getting them ready to play.
That why Miles catches so much heat...we have given him every single thing he needs to keep the program at the highest pinnacle of the sport. It is on him when we are great, but also when we are subpar. It's really a compliment to LSU that fans are so expecting of a top notch product, because those fans are the ones who sacrifice their money, alot of it, to make sure LSU has all the tools it needs to strive. ANd they have every reason in the world to voice their disappointment at times.
We will always win some and lose some...that's sports. But fans don't have to sit quiet when they see repeating issues that aren't solved...
I think Miles is a winner and a great great man and ambassador of our LSU! At the same time, there are definitely weaknesses that rear their ugly head from time to time....I am sure these will get fixed, if not, then he will hear about it.

They weren't fans before 2003.

I really think part of it is the saban factor. Bama is doing great and most LSU fans think if we dont do better or look better than bama then we suck. I want them to win every game but that isnt realistic. If we go 10-2 that is still a good season> With that being said I do want to see the best prepared Tiger team out there on saturdays. If they are and still lose so be it. I think we see it this saturday in the SWAMP...

i understand there are some concerns about our coaching staff and that's fine. i don't share those concerns about miles but admittedly do about stud as OC. i'm sympathetic with krags disease but am skeptical about elevating stud because of it. as far as having a down year occasionally i disagree with your words that they shouldn't happen. saban had a down year after he coached lsu to an nc and he had one after he coached bama to the first one. this year is still unwritten. down years happen, esp when a team suffers the losses of key players as we have. i saw bear bryant have not one, but two 6-5 seasons. both were after key losses following great years. anyways, thanks for your advice on the flame-throwes and name-callers. they should be separated from others.

i agree with your post 100%. but i think you missed the meaning of mine. i'm not talking about "fans having to sit quiet", nor legitimate frustration and critisism. i'm talking about posters that never post a positive; that always find fault and always immediately want miles canned.

Those are the jackasses who didn't cover their bet and want someones head on a platter because they have to pay the man! lol
If Miles never leaves, LSU will be a tremendously successful team for many many years.

I can't think of anything other than Saban Envy.
Miles gets no credit for anything right and blame for everything wrong. To hear them tell it, our talent was 13-0 last year and Miles was 0-1.
It prevents them from enjoying the best 7 year run in the 120 year history LSU football. For them, last years undefeated regular season (only the 3rd in 119 years when playing 10 games or more) was made moot by the outcome of the BCSCG.
Personally, I have enjoyed the last 12 years. 2 national championships and 4 SEC Championships (we won 4 in the previous 40 years).
It is totally acceptable to criticize Miles for his mistakes, and there are many. But it is total bullshite to not acknowledge his successes when there have been so many.
