Leave it be. There is still some decent discussion there. You just have to cut through all the nonsense.
And save the "I'm a Republican" talk. Like me, you may be a registered Republican who'd rather shoot himself in the nuts than become a democrat, but you'll never pass the poli-board litmus test unless you:
1. Think Ayn Rand's philosophies are actually practical and reasonable
2. Think Obama is a racist, gay, America-hating, Muslim spendthrift who wants to destroy the country and/or kill whitey

That's patently absurd. I say that as someone who often agrees with you.
