Cancelled.
Posted on 11/16/12 at 5:53 pm to Tactical1
With this last episode being #7, looks like we have 6 episodes left.
What sucks more is ABC had ordered 2 extra scripts, but with this, they won't film them.

Will show the remaining episodes though. Only 13 of them all together.
Just another example of the networks being an impatient ratings whore. I'm really tired of the networks cancelling good shows that start off great, they have the potential to be great, just be patient with them please.
I might start a new policy of only watching shows that are in their second season. I'm tired of investing time and interest in a show only to have it cancelled just like that in their first season.
I suppose I should've seen the signs with this thread not getting much traffic after the first couple of episodes.

Well, the Person of Interest topic is never really that big. It's flourished on CBS, with all the old people leaving their TV's on CBS all day. A rare "good show" on CBS.
Shawn Ryan's officially "used to" having his shows cancelled. Can't think of many of his shows going longer than a season. Just The Shield and The Unit.
Chicago Code
Terriers
Last Resort
Lie to Me (think he came in for Season 2, and that was the end of that show, but don't think he created it)

Bump.
Two weeks later I'm still fricking pissed that this is getting cancelled.
Oh well, I'll just try to enjoy these remaining episodes.

Watched it last night after the saints game ( ).
Pretty good episode. I knew that the CIA guy was really no good. Interesting episode with the Rapist angle they had going. I wonder how Serrat got the islanders to vote not guilty, what's his motive for doing so? Why does he want the anarchy we saw after the verdict came out? Methinks it's part of his endgame, whatever that is.
So the XO's wife is coming to the island. I wonder how that's going to play out. The previews for next week looked awesome.
Writing this still has me pissed.

Yep.
Very good episode tonight. I still cannot understand why a good show like this is being canceled, especially after an awesome pilot.
The SEALs did a good job, surprised one of them turned and took Christine. Oh well. I wonder why that the Pakistani Navy guys didn't realize that Chpalin would just target Pakistan instead of what they were demanding? They weren't too bright.
I wonder what the XO and Captain are going to do with the intelligence they just learned from the SEALs.
The Previews for next week looked awesome as well. Is one of the seals going with the XO to wherever they are going? And are the chinese coming to the island? I wonder what they could be doing. Maybe trying to get some nukes for themselves?
This just only makes me sadder knowing the fate of this show.
People just refuse to watch quality TV.

The reveal of the seals mission was kind of odd. I guess they were planting suitcase nukes to justify the bombing of Pakistan. Still doesn't explain the motivation to bomb Pakistan in the first place.

What the frick?
I was enjoying both shows a great deal. I hate it when I invest time to watch and get into these shows and they just cancel them just like that. Missing was also a pretty good show they dumped. Frickin' ABC.

The only bright side to this is that the show was cancelled well enough in advance so that the producers were able to write a proper series finale.
This is a great show (the last episode was the best so far), but I just don't see how this show could last more than a couple of seasons with its premise.

I would bet if I did a little bit of research into this, I would find that ABC has quite a history of doing this. I wouldn't be surprised.
Networks are always going to be an impatient ratings whore.

Yeah it seemed odd to me as well. Hopefully next week will shed more light on this.

Which is always a case that it should have been a mini series in an HBO or Sho Time.

I completely agree. It should be great.

I agree but here's the thing; thats what would've made this series awesome. In this day and age, there is nothing wrong with having a series only last a two or three seasons. Look at Spartacus, it's in it's 3rd and final season right now and will be aired in the spring. And it looks like it will draw in sime very good ratings.
There's already precedent for two-three season series. Networks need to stop trying for the homerun 8-9 season series everytime a new series debuts. Sometimes a single or double is all you need.

Yeah, hopefully there's enough support for this show to move somewhere else.
For example, NBC dropped Southland and it's found a good home on TNT and will be debuting it's fifth season in February.
There's hope.

I tried to watch it. I wanted to like it. But when it got to where I had like three of them on the DVR left and I was actually dreading watching it, I just deleted them and called it a wash.
Just not good.
Just not good.

I can understand that. Also can you tell me why you didn't like it?
Not flaming. Just curious.
