It was a short route on the near side that got jumped, hence the failed cut-block. The far side routes were ghosts, or epic fail/misread by the wr's. Still bad design, and couldn't tell if there was an outlet/second choice. I hope it just was a bad design, and not his only option.

I agree with this. There were multiple problems with this play.

this and mett didn't have enough time to pick anyone else up. the play didn't work; that happens. my problem is that mett didn't protect the ball (and of course the lack of protection on the left side).
