The player doesn't have to leave the game if the helmet comes off as a direct result of a foul by an opponent. I don't remember that exact play from the game, but since you said it was after an LSU penalty, that's probably why.

I thought of that I don't know I'll look for it on cox replay Wednesday night. I was hollering in stands for flag cause they marched us back deep. Nobody listened!
