Forgive my ignorance but couldn't you just add black food coloring to regular vodka?

That was my thought exactly. When I make my Halloween Party jello shots, I add black food coloring to grape flavored jello, works like a charm.

Black food coloring sounds like the obvious answer.

Captain morgans tattoo rum is black but it's not vodka.

see if you can find someone who carries Blavod Black vodka. It comes in a neoprene "wet suit." This is mine from last year:

Black vodka tastes nothing like regular vodka. My first experience with it was a few months ago.. in Lisbon Portugal. Man that shite is dangerous. So good.

really? I have a bottle I've never opened sitting in a cupboard. I just assumed it tasted like regular vodka, and I've never had an occasion to use it for anything.

There are flavored black vodkas just as there are flavored clear vodkas. Many black vodkas have the same taste as clear vodkas.
