Hi everyone! I am new here. I wanted to ask what y'all think the likelihood is that the South Carolina game will have a 2:30 start (or any day start time for that matter)?

It'll be a 2:30 game on CBS.
And welcome to the rant! Just get some thick skin and don't be a jerk, you'll fit in!

Since I have an obligation that morning that would make it hard to get there by 2:30, I figure it's a near 100% chance

this reminds me of the time I wasn't able to watch the 2010 LSU/Bama game.
ETA: also 2010 Auburn/LSU, but I could tell from my dad's mood that I didn't want to watch

As part of last year's deal for CBS to air the Bama/LSU game at night, didn't CBS agree to let ESPN have first choice for one weekend this year?

Either our game or Bama v Missouri will be 2:30 game that day. You will have a better idea after this Saturday. Missouri and USC play this week. If USC wins this week, then LSU v USC will definitely be a 2:30. If Missouri beats USC and USC loses to UGA the week before us. It will prob be Missouri v Bama that week, pushing us to a later game.

I'm not so sure about this. USC-UGA is Oct 6 and looks like the best game of the weekend. Would CBS put USC at 230 two weeks in a row?

We were there 3 or 4 in a row last year. If USCe keeps winning, CBS will stick with the 'ol ball coach.

Just looking at the SEC schedules, it is waaaay too early to tell anything.
USC has Missouri and Georgia.
Georgia has Tennessee and USC.
LSU has Auburn and Florida.
All of those games could turn into losses for the favorites.
It appears most here expect us to cruise into the Alabama game undefeated and with each game being 20+ points, but at Auburn, Florida (and at A&M after USC) is pretty brutal.
edit: both UF and A&M are coming off bye weeks when they play LSU.
