Yep...plus he left his feet to make the hit. That was dirty in itself.

They didn't fine him because he led with his helmet or anything, they fined him for hitting a defenseless player. Chasing down a QB he was about to hit is not defenseless IMO. Not Golden Tate's fault he wasn't looking while trying to make a tackle.

It really depends on the player/team as far as this opinion goes imo.

Tate/Notre Dame
Seahawks/Beat Saints, Pete Carroll etc

= Dirty

If it had been Devery Henderson playing for the Saints with the exact hit on the Cowboys it would have been clean as hell.
