I've never heard of buying them at a store. I've always taken one with me from a pub or bar.

I've heard of it more and more... know there's a place in Birmingham that has taps for growlers as well.

You've never been able to take them from a bar here, but new laws in areas of Atlanta/Georgia allow them to be sold in stores now.


I'm actually thinking of franchising one, which is why I was asking. Most everyone I've talked to about it think it's a great idea, while some think it's just a fad, which keeps sort of sticking in the back of my mind, but I do think it's a pretty damn good business opportunity. The profit margin on keg beer is amazing. It would be a location with 40 taps and also sells things like glassware, t shirts, etc. They actually have giant coozies for growlers now.
