I think Amanda has been somewhat whiny and "poor me" on the show. I know what you're talking about though. There's something about her that I don't care for, but I do think she's got pipes. I'm just not sure she's more than a back up singer. One week I think so and the next I don't. I think it was stupid of Carson to comment that she wasn't nervous.

Her song was top 10 on iTunes yesterday afternoon, of course she wasn't nervous, she knew she was through.
Melanie was too, and Cassadee of course.
