High was highly recruited d lineman rated 4th best DT in the country by rivals.

I'm not saying he should start I just want to know why he's not considered

More specifically what is it about this Jr, that the coaches see,
That denies him playing time? Extreme run on sentence

Dude you started the same thread the other day but about why Rocky D. wasn't ahead of Martin. Are you going to question the coaches' decision at every position. JD is playing because he's the best option. Why did Mo Claiborne play ahead of Ron Brooks?

In both cases I wanted to know why the players did not work out IE: to slow or can't grasp the offense etc...

I was just curious

I wanted an answer to a question not a debate on recruiting
I understand recruiting services make mistakes
What did they miss?

OK, I will take a shot. Being highly recruited does not make anyone a good college football player. There is a lot more to football than measurables.

In addition, switching from defensive to offensive line is a very big change. We have great depth in the O-line, making it very difficult for a guy switching positions to crack the starting lineup.

What kind of answer are you looking for from the rant? Do you think you missed Les saying a player was slower and weaker than he expected when he recruited them so he'll likely be passed up by younger players throughout his career.

Only the coaches can give an objective answer.

BengalBen there are ranters that sometimes have info. Just today I spoke to someone close to faulks fam. Sometimes people on the rant have answers.

It was a good question. Not Dumb not stupid but a good question. Just as the question about Duplesis was, in both cases you took it out of context.

Davenport may have been most overrated player coming out of high school I've ever seen. Took off three player to every one he played. Ranked that high and was not even MVP in his own small school football district. He will never play at LSU.
