Yep they sure do. I bought a pair 5 years ago and haven't been bitten yet. Only now I'm afraid the first time I don't wear them I'll get bit.

early part of squirrel season, they let me keep my eyes up, instead of down... yeah, they work for me..

whats the best? I hate those bastards and my yard is full of them right now and I got a lot of trees limbs etc. to pick up.

1st, decide whether you want lace up or slip on..
ive had lacrosse lace up and redwing slip ons.. the lace ups are probly better for all day walking, but i really like the slip ons for bowhunting... All the major manufacturers make them, go try them on just like any other boot, see what feels the best for what you're gonna be doing with them..
eta; if going to use them for just storm clean up, go get you some cheap snake leggings...

In the words of my father and his father, they will do a good job of "showing everyone else that you are a puss."

Gonna use them hunt to. I got leggings already. I just didnt know if they actually worked...did not wanna spend 200 bucks on shitty snake boots that dont work.

I had a pair of Danner Pronghorns (non-snakeboot) that were probably the most comfortable pair of boots I've ever worn. I walked over 500 miles through the woods in 2010 in them before I retired them. I see Danner makes a Pronghorn snakeboot now. I would recommend checking them out.

Yeah yeah. That was work related walking. I walked across Louisiana twice that year.

I'm with tenfoe...and his daddy. I've walked all over the woods in my Chaco Sandals, and have never been bit. Almost shite myself a couple of times in the tall grass of Sicily Island Hills hiking trail though. Still wouldn't need anything more than my Danner Grouse boots though.
Keep in mind however, that I've got good snake karma, b/c I don't kill every one that i see like some of you MFers. Y'all better get some waist high snake boots b/c they are coming to get your asses.
