Bought the Rossi combo for my kids... 22/243/410
Overall I have zero gun/function issues daughter killed her fight buck with this gun. With that said it is pretty cheaply made and the plastic on the gun makes it light weight. I wish I would have spent the money on a real youth rifle with a nice wood stock. I think the 243 kicks as hard as my Remington 700 in .270.

Short little crack barrels are notoriously abusive on the back end. They just aren't heavy enough.
