Mrs Harmon has a new show, so there's a clue.

It will be a different story but with a lot of the same actors returning in different roles.

It seems like they are starting a while later than they did last year, the mid season finale last year was on Halloween, now the series doesnt even start until October

Different story, some of the same actors. It's going to be in an asylum run by nuns in 60's. Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto, and Evan Peters are returning. Adam Levine and James Cromwell will be new characters on the show.
See the creepy arse teasers..,

They are starting fresh with some of the same actors.
They said they didn't want to keep it up and the show get boring after a few seasons with the same story line.
They also said that it may help attract bigger named stars who can just commit to one season of a show and move on.
Pretty great idea, IMO

So two full length trailers have popped up for the show's Season 2.
First, this picture is just awesome to me given who is in it (From left to right: Joseph Fiennes, Jessica Lange, and James Cromwell) so I had to share.
First Promo
The first promo does a sweep of some of the characters on the show. From what I could tell I saw Lily Rabe, Chloe Sevigny, the three from the pic I posted above, Zachary Quinto, Adam Levine, and Evan Peters.
Second Promo w/ Actor Listing
The second promo actually gives us actor/actress listing and it looks like the one I missed was Sarah Paulson (From Deadwood and Serenity).
It looks pretty damn awesome with that cast. I can't wait.

The season didn't start last year til the first Wednesday of October. And what are you even talking about "mid season finale?" There was a 2 part halloween special and neither occurred on Halloween. The show was 12 episodes and ran through almost Christmas concurrently.

Yep, I think it's brilliant. This genre pretty much has to be done like this though I would think, and I'm glad they took us (the viewer) into consideration.

I wouldn't doubt that a few people like this do get brought back. In some way, shape or form.

Given the promo I think Chloe Sevigny is going to end up filling that slutty role this season.

Haven't watched a single trailer yet.
Kinda want to go into it somewhat blind and clueless like i did last year.
Can't wait for our weekly AHS discussions y'all

I really enjoyed the show until they injected the whole Satanic storyline. I hope Season 2 follows the precedent of the first 2/3 of Season 1 rather than the last 1/3.

Satanaic?
You talking about the doctor that was putting his baby back together or whatever?
I doont recall satanic

I stand corrected. And the mid season finale was the two partsr i was talking about, i guess it just feels like it started earlier than it did

I think he's talking about the Anti-Christ baby angle. Which is a common theme amongst the horror genre.
