Worst Announcers College Football

I've got to give it to Gary Danielson. I think he and Verne are by far the worst announcers. I cringe every time they get a game. I would take just about any announcer over these two clowns. How do they continually get the big games? Anyone else feel like this?

I actually like them... John Gruden by far

Really? I always kind of liked Gruden. Maybe its just me.

They get big games because they are employed by CBS.

I agree, I dont know how SEC fans can stand it. Name mispronunciations and personnel errors happened nearly every drive.

Love gary and as much as verne needs to hang it up, it just wouldn't be big time college football without them IMO.

I think I got tired of them a while back when I felt like they were biased against the Tigers. Never have been able to redeem themselves.

I hate Gruden because he sucks every teams dick on MNF and when he does that qb thing he replays everything like 20 times. He also Replays Brock osweiler coming out of the tunnel like 5 times

cbs needs to open up the coffers and draw ronathan franklin out of retirement and tell moleface to fricking deal with his occasional sexist/chauvinist remarks.

That was classic, made me laugh. Bring back Ron and talk dirty to em.

Gary is one of the best in the business. Verne is solid when he's not drunk, but that seems to be pretty much all the time these days.

Verne is 72. I suspect it's more senility than alcohol intake.

Gary still has his good moments where he will break a play down or predict a playcall and the outcome. Verne still provides comedic relief in the duo.

Best would be the old sec crew on espn. Liked all three of those guys. Too bad Adrian karsten committed suicide.

It's been downhill for Verne ever since the words "who the hell is Happy Gilmore?"

Verne has slipped due to age, and his drinking doesn't help.

I love the stupid arse assumptions that Gary makes. He says things like "I guarantee the Navy coach will say after the game that he should have called a TO". He knows what he is talking about generally, but he is comes out of nowhere sometimes with his strategies about things like going for it, TOs, personnel, etc. His knowledge of plays and formations is good.

I've always liked Gary. Worst announcer in history was/is Keith Jackson. Not sure if he's still alive.

I think that is one of the things that I can't stand about him. Sometimes I feel like he's second guessing the coach too much. Sure there are obvious time but not several times each game.
Over generalizations as well. Like the backup LB being "the smartest player on the field"
