Voluntary
ETA: To be clear, it is only a voluntary evacuation. It should be noted that a number of major roads in the area have already been closed, and more are possible as the water rises.

Dude why you trying to start a panic?
It's a voluntary evacuation as a precaution.
Stop with the "Get out Now!!"

I rode all through there yesterday, and there was water on roads where I've never seen it before. Yes, it is voluntary. Ask some other folks that opted not to evacuate how they're doing. I saw a lot of stranded people when i was paddling around that said they wished they had split.

There are good reasons to leave but don't make it sound like they will die if they stay.

Fair enough. It just maddens me that our firemen and other search and rescue teams end up having to risk their lives to save people that ignored warnings to leave and had plenty of time to do so.

Our tailgate trailer is on split log road right now, pretty close to the pumping station.

Are the pumps runnin?
Yep. They saw the flood waters, got scared and took off.
Yes, I know that was pathetic.
