I liked the guy who said:

"Hey, I bought a 5.5kw generator yesterday I really can't afford so if anyone wants to buy it..."

I bought one of those after Katrina in Hammond. Actually a reasonable price, and paid for itself durin Gustav. Still running good. Luckily, it went unused other than a quick test run this time.

I know someone who did this in Miami after Andrew. He was on the side of the road selling generators out of a Ryder rental truck at extremely inflated prices. The cops gave him a hard time and basically told him to leave Dade county or they would find some reason to put him in jail. He dropped the prices to get rid of the generators and GFTO back to Louisiana.

Bought one during Gustav. Worked for 1 day then quit. Called the 1-800 warranty number on the paperwork thinking I was screwed. Five days later I received a package containing the part I needed to fix my gen and ANOTHER BRAND NEW gen.
