What do y'all recommend? I got a Moultrie IR-80 last year from Walmart and it has been GREAT! But I haven't found another one. How good are the Bushnell Trophy Cams? I'm not looking for the Swarovski of trail cams. $150 or under would be good. So what say the OB?

Primos, Wildgame, and moultrie are all good.
Wildview is shite and Stealth is hell on batteries.

I went out on a limb and bought a couple of Spypoint brand cameras. I have run them twice and they seem to be working great. Nice pics and not a bunch of pics with nothing in them. This is the camera I bought. $130.00 Thinking about getting a few more

I couldn't keep batteries in one. I liked the camera but unless you can be there every few days to replace batteries they are not ideal.

Mine took 6 C batteries and needed to be replaced every two weeks. Two cameras got expensive fast.

Primos fan here... The either 35 or 46 are both in your budget. Saw the new primos at academy and they claim 50,000 pictures with 8 AA batteries.

Had a bushnell about 3 years ago. A nice IR camera lasted me less than 1 season. I have had good luck with cheaper moultres and now I pretty much run Primos now, we have 5 on our lease and all running good some are over 2 years old.
But I also like your Moultre M-80 as well my cousin bought that one last year. Really nice camera.

Not a fan of the Wilgame Innovations cameras, buddies and I have bought 6 from Academy and had to return 3 of them when the "computer" would go haywire or the flash would quit working.
Will monitor this thread for suggestions, also.

The cheaper Moultres I had were flash... Took good pics just ate batteries like crazy. Deer never seemed to mind the flash. Would see the same deer over and over.

I hardly have any problems with my Wild Game innovations, i just want it to trigger well, I don't need 8 megapixels, I'm not going to get posters made. The only thing I lack is one with plot watch, I'd love to watch these bitches mow down my pea fields in live time.

They are hit or miss, ive had alot. Cuddebaks are grewt if u wana spend the money. Bought 2 wildgame innovations ir4c cameras last yr, worked great and took lots of pics, put them back up this yr and one didnt work, then month later the other is broke "but wg innovations has great customer service" calle em and sent em back and 5 days later new camera, so take that for what its worth.
Oh and i bought a shitty cheap wildview ir camera 3 yrs ago... And its on the tree takn pics as we speak
hadn used the bushnells yet but i have 3 of their micro ir cams o jadnt opened yet... We will see. I really wouldn spend over 100 on a camera thats gona be out in the woods in weather but thats just me and my experience

I've noticed deer looking at the flash but it never runs them off. With the IR I've had it actually spook them. Its very noticable on video mode.

Rather its flash, ir, or blackout the deer know its there. It dont spook them, they will be curious and check it out. Its more about them hearing it click and take the pic than it is the flash or the red lights on ir. i do however recommend with flash hang them higher and angle them down so it seems like ligjtning flash, and ia harder for deer to detect

I hang my regular IR cameras about 6 feet up angled down and the deer rarely notice them. I have 2 black flash cameras that I mount waist high and it makes a big difference. The deer notice the cameras, but never get act alarmed when they trigger, even on video. When I've mounted regular IR cameras waist high and had them on video about half the deer haul arse.

My bushnell works great, pretty easy to use and awsome on battery life, price is around $200 though

primos 35 at wally world for 80 bucks. my buddy on the lease has moultrie that he paid 180 each for and primos 35 outperforms by far.
