Honestly..
As a native Cajun I like the book as a story of Louisiana History.
But the few recipes I have tried have been awful.
Please avoid the hush puppy recipe.

I think his books and recipes are top notch.I worked for 5+ years. The guy can be an arse but I really respect what he does with the books. They are very will done. He has a great crew that puts them together.
