what don't you get about not wanting to pay for some cheap bastard to attend a game? why can't a Tiger fan pay another Tiger fan exactly what he paid for the ticket, ? your view is that I should pay for you to attend a game, even though you should be well aware that the price on the actual ticket is not what the man paid for it.

you have an entitlement issue.

BTW, I don't usually sell my tickets, and I don't sell to opposing teams fans.

So should we ask the income of the people we are buying tickets from, to determine the tax break they get from donating money to the TAF/tradition fund?

The market will set the price.

The market is free, and you are dumb.

Well of course they can

The price on the ticket is not set in stone.

It could sell for much more, or much less.

No, I just understand how tickets to home games work.

I've been advertising two tickets for North Texas, Idaho and Towson for $30 a piece and have gotten no responses. I feel the OP's sentiments to a certain extent though, casino capititalists want to privatize the gains and socialize the losses. I'll probably mark them down a bit and if I still get no responses I'll give them to someone down on his luck with a kid that might like to go. If you TAF reimbursers want to do it right, pro rate the taf relative to the face of the ticket if you gotta get that back. More or the TAF allocated to Alabama than NT.

"your view is that I should pay for you to attend a game"

No his view is that he should be able to go to a game at face value. If you have the money to pay TAF, that's good for you and that was your choice to donate. Others that don't have that money may just want to attend a damn game.

We could get into the holier than though argument that some stuck up SOB's like to get into on this board and ask why the frick a Tiger Fan is selling North Texas and Towson tickets because "true" Tiger fans go to every game.
