Agreed. It would be highly out of character for Jon to become a Mel drone and go against everything he stood for. I believe he will be the uniting force, not the dividing force, of Westeros. He's not going to become Uncat 
. Many of those parallels to mythology are spot on, and some are pure Martin. I doubt he's going to copy and paste mythology and not be original.
