re: Crackpot ASOIAF Theories SPOILERS

After the Varys/LF scene last night something occurred to me.
The insane degree of control or level of training the Targs must have had over the dragons. I mean, Aegon got Balerion to basically spot weld 1000 swords (or fewer if we rely on LFs counting ) into the shape of a throne. That is a ridiculous level of control over a damn giant dragon.
In our real world, there is no animal that we can train to do work that precise and detailed. The smartest creatures besides us are chimps, and our best work with them has them understanding a couple hundred words and sorting objects into piles.
Of course chimps arent magical.
No prediction or crackpot theory, but it may speak to what exactly Dany is able to do with hers later on. Just an observation.

Aegon probably warged into him and did the work himself

This. They just say it was a magical connection to the dragons and never call it warging. Sounds like the exact same thing as the Starks and their direwolves.

I know the Targ/Warg theory has been mentioned in this thread, but is there a textual basis for it? Or just pure crackpotism?
Posted on 5/6/13 at 9:22 am to TigerRad
Targ warging is crackpotism loosely based on BR and his abilities from his maternal side (First Men). But, just cuz there's no textual basis doesn't mean it's discredited.
The Warg abilities of TFM pretty much screams mixing with TCotF way back when, IMO.
Part of reason they quit cutting WW trees and took old gods methinks.
Now Blackfyre warging like Varys could be some TFM blood, too.

From the Wiki:
Doesn't mean this is necessarily the case, this could only be a few of the methods used. I don't think this is the case, but they very well could have warg like abilities as well.

If you think the Targ/Blackfyre rivalry is bad, you should see the Targ Welders/ Targ Machinists argue

nah, he has to write another internet only graphic novel about a character from 200 years ago that has no baring on the current story and how he killed people and then died depressingly for no reason somewhere in the Riverlands.

The chapters he is releasing suck. Looks like more nothing in WoW. He needs to get his fatass together

We need to replace "Bookworms" with either "Literates" or "Literatti" in your sig, Bob.
I'm partial to "Literatti" myself...
If ya find me the post I'll edit it...

Really? I'll give you the Arianne one, but you have Mereen finally getting interesting with a battle and the arrival of the Ironborn. With Theon, you have Stannis uncovering a major plot of the Bolton's and dealing a serious problem to the evil North's plans to wipe his army out. If these aren't getting you excited, I'm not sure this book will be for you.

Do you really think he is going to release a sample chapter of Jon finding out about his parents or the Others breaking through The Wall?
Posted on 5/6/13 at 11:07 am to Mr. Wayne
Well, I seriously doubt he's going to resurrect Jon Snow in a sample chapter.
Of course they're going to be anticlimactic.

So how much longer is Arya going to spend in Braavos?
How does she get back to Westeros?
Who will be her first hit?

That Theon chapter, the Victarion chapter he read, and the others have been pretty good.

He's not going to release anything that's going to give major spoilers. If these are just filler chapters then I'm pretty excited.

Now this we can agree on. Carry on.
