ruger p345 jamming

Went shooting yesterday and it was giving me real problems. When a round is fired it ejects the shell and jacks a new one in no problem. It also sets the hammer back in the fire position and it stays, but when the trigger is pulled the hammer refuses to fall. The safety acts as a decocker so when I flip the safety on it puts the hammer back in the starting position. I flip the safety off again and pull the trigger, the round fires, and the problem repeats.
Anyone had any experience with this/any ideas on something I should try to fix it?

I don't think so.

In before, "You shudda bought a Judge."
I'd go to the Ruger forum (www.rugerforum.net) and see what the collective wisdom over there might be.
I have read for a couple of years that the P345 seems to have more problems than other Ruger models -- but this may be nothing more than intrawebz b.s.
How many rounds thru the gun before this started ??
Are you carrying it for SD ??

I'll for sure check out what they have to say.
The gun belongs to a buddy of mine. He traded his Nagant for it so there's no telling how many rounds have been fired. He's had it around a month or so and claims it hasn't done this before.
Just seems like an odd problem to me and its got me stumped.

Good ... as long as you're not the one relying on it for SD.
Tell him to get a 1911 like the one in the picture you posted. Slightly more reliable.

Are you sure the gun is returning to full battery?

Try a different brand of ammo. It could be just that your gun doesn't like certain kinds of ammo.

Uh, might want to recalibrate your sarcasm detector.
I'm pretty sure the OP and I both knew what kind of pistol is in the photo he posted.
