Oak Grove New Orleans style spicy chicken fry. I use this to fry chicken as well as fish. Egg wash then batter, that's it. Not additions needed. Pick some up at Albertsons and give this a try.

quote:Thanks for saying where to get it. Very helpful. I like Oak Grove jambalaya mix in a pinch. WAY better than Zatarains or Tony Chacheres.

Flour, corn meal, spices. If you can't do that get someone else to fry the food.

Hard to beat Louisiana Fish Fry's seasoned fish fry in the blue bag for fish. For shrimp, oysters, and chicken, you can't beat their shrimp and oyster fry either. Tried their new "cajun fry" and the LRA this weekend and it was pretty good too, just a little too hot for my taste.
