several comments about TM7 being kicked out of school and/or being booted b/c of NCAA rules
Has anyone confirmed these? Did Miles have a choice or was TM7 gone even if Miles said he could stay?
As long as it was a team administered test and not an NCAA test, then it has nothing to do with NCAA rules.
The 3 strikes and you're gone rule is an LSU team rule, so I doubt Miles really had a choice. But it's been known that certain coaches have exuded their power and covered up failed team drug tests.

the ncaa only test for performance enhancing drugs, not mary jane, etc. its the school's job.

Getting a signed pic of Miles really changed his attitude.

it was a school administered test bro. the NCAA, more than likely, had no involvement in this decision

Les and LSU admins could have easily covered this up and nobody would have known. Im sure situations like this get covered up all the time. Miles may have not had a choice on whether to kick TM out of school for the offenses, but Les and the LSU staff had a choice on whether or not to have integrity and take action. They made the right choice. I am hesitant to believe alot of programs would have done the same.

There will always be fans who simply hate the fact that Les Miles is our coach.

Yeah, Penn St is the most recent example. We know how that turned out.

Here is the deal: At other schools - Alabama, Texas, Ohio State, etc., this stuff goes away. The school does not enforce its policy against the Heisman Trophy finalist. It is swept under the rug.
This was Miles or someone at LSU that says that the football program is not bigger than the university and integrity. Whether it was Miles' call or someone else's, Miles works with them and they are, collectively, the LSU community.
LSU is bigger than one player. Miles preaches that and backs it up along with the rest of the LSU community. Anyone trying to NOT give Miles credit for this doesn't understand how organizations work. You are either corrupt or you try to be honest and have integriy. We can all name university communities that are corrupt. LSU is not one of those and Miles is the coach and leader.
Yes, he deserves credit.
