He got cut from an IFL team that he had part ownership in.
I bet it was a mutual separation.
Dude had 30 catches for 370 and 9 TDs on a 50 yard field in 7 games.

TO would be the #1 WR on several NFL teams right now.
Who do you honestly think he would be #1 for? Maybe the Browns or Dolphins maybe but other than that, this is just stupid

Lets go down the list:
Miami
Cleveland
NYJets? Close call with Holmes' shite stats LY.
Jacksonville
Seattle
St Louis
Is that enough for you?

Frankel cited Owens' refusal to play in two upcoming road games that are critical to the Wranglers' playoff hopes and Owens' no-show for a scheduled appearance at a local children's hospital as the breaking points in the team's relationship with the receiver.

I would add
New Orleans
Tampa Bay
Baltimore
Washington
Indy
Yes,I think he's that good! IMO I could make a decent case he would be the #1 WR on half the teams in NFL! The guy has always been in perfect shape and backs up the talk, and has not been a distraction in his last 2 spots...the injury in Cincy was very unfortunate, he was putting up monster numbers! In a win NOW league, I don't understand why a contender doesn't grab this guy....he'd be a perfect fit in New Orleans or New England imo

Why not? You got anything to back it up except the fact that youre a hater?

So you honestly believe he would be #1 for The Saints or the Patriots? You really believe that?
ETA he is also not better than Reggie Wayne, Vincent Jackson, or Anquan Bolden

I love T.O., but he would not be #1 on the Saints

Some analysts actually agreed with Cromartie that he would be the #2 WR on their team if he would switch.
..and Sidney Rice has been injured moreso than not at Seattle.
He has issues with both his shoulders now in addition the the hip problems.

And TO is almost 40 and had major knee surgery last time he was in the league. That has the same relevency. Also Doug Baldwin has really good promise

I still think a healthy TO is > Santonio Holmes.
2010:
Owens 72-983-9TDs
Rice 17-280-2TDs
Rice in 2011: 32-484-2TDs
TO didn't play last season, not because no one wanted him, but because he tore is ACL in the spring. Rice's combined production the last two seasons is still less than TO's production in 2010. And there are still issues with Rice's overall health entering the 2012 season.

No it was because no one wanted him and his headache. The acl is just a convient excuse for it

how would he be a good fit in New Orleans?
The ball gets spread around perfectly. He would have to contend with the rock solid consistent Marques Colston. Jimmy Graham emerged as the leading pass catcher last year and doesn't look like he is gonna relinquish that role anytime soon. Darren Sproles caught 87 passes last year with 7 of them going for TD's. Lance Moore has managed to record a nice amount of TD's the last few years, 16 total (8 in 2010 and 8 in 2011.) Not to mention, the Saints run the screen often. We lost Meachem to SD but drafted Nick Toon. TO wouldn't fit in New Orleans in my opinion and honestly I would not like it if by some chance they took a chance on him but they won't so it doesn't matter.
He's had a great career and is a future HOF'er but his ship has sailed.

Posted by LSUAlum2001 Rumors that TO ran a sub 4.4 recently. He has his quirks and issues, but the guy is one of the Top 15 WRs when healthy now, even at 38.
Sub 4.4, top 15 wr?
C'monnnnn man

He was 18th in yards back in 2010 with noodle armed Carson Palmer as his QB.

I wasn't talking to you.
You punted on my stat comparison between Rice and TO.
