My father bought a brand new Honda Rancher around 2000. 300CC I believe.
Runs like a dream to this day.
We have gravel roads most everywhere, usually don't ever bring it deep into woods unless deer is a long way from one of the roads.
Most it was ever "ragged" out was me and my brother from ages 13-16. That was 10 years ago.
