Blue can run both inside and outside the tackles.

He has shown the ability to be a great receiver.

He played 3rd down a lot last year, which indicates the staff trusts his pass blocking.

Name one good reason why he isn't the back to get the majority of the touches.

Not saying he can't be a great receiver, but he has 4 career receptions for -2 total yards. So he hasn't really shown it yet.

On a serious note though, I'm sure this thread will turn out like the rest of them with you blaming the coaches because they never let Blue into therapy pool resulting in 4th string.

Majority means that he gets more than 50% and thats not going to happen with 4-5 other great RBs.

He might get the most but not the majority, no one will.

nah, our runningbacks are all good, so it doesn't really matter.

I'm just surprised how many ranters overlook him. It seems everybody is bonkers for Hilliard and some even clamoring for Hill.

Last year Blue showed the best vision and the stats reflect that.

Yeah, his speed and hands really set him apart from the others IMO, also he is without a doubt the best blitz stuffer(and it ain't close). Look for a great year from him.

Well, I guess that's what I meant.

I would love to see the split go something like this:

Blue---35%
Ware---20%
Hilliard---20%
Ford------20%
Others---5%

This is why I like him the best. That plus his 6.9 ypc last year.

I think Blue is one of the most popular RB's for most of the posters here. (start a thread asking)

But there really shouldn't be any reason that the percentage should be that far apart. Every RB on that roster deserves 35%. But They should all get 25%

Touching on this again, unless Ware is back to 2010 form and shows MARKEDLY better vision, it is mental to give Ware the same percentage of the carries he got last year with Blue, Ford, and hilliard all looking better in their limited playing time.

but, I don't care who plays, as long as we just go with the hot hand that day.

In practice they say he looks the best running routes and catching the ball, but he hasn't had the opportunity in games yet.

I would like to see one back emerge and prove that he deserves to get more carries than the other backs. I would like to see one of our backs get 50% of the carries.

I think one could argue that Ford doesn't deserve 35% because he really struggles picking up the blitz.

One could also argue Ware doesn't deserve 35% if he hasn't improved a LOT since last year. 4.0 ypc shouldn't cut it if we have guys who can get close to 6.5+ ypc.

That said, Ware has the ability to be AMAZING if he learns not to run into his linemen's asses.

Yeah, but I like our system. It's beyond amazing to have capable and fresh legs at RB in the 4th quarter.

Hill might be outstanding in camp and demand carries. Who knows?? Thankfully, a real QB ought to open up some lanes for the RBs by keeping the D's honest and the big guys don't have to batter it up the middle the entire game. Hilliard was pretty impressive in his limited role last year.

If that's the case, then AWESOME. But, we shall see.

I think the OL is gonna be a lot better this year too. (Not that they were particularly bad last year)

Hilliard was impressive, but by the numbers, BLUE outshined him. It'll be interesting to see how the RB position shakes out to be with both Ware adn Hilliard losing weight, Hill coming in, and Blue/Ford also being good enough for carries.

Should be the position we are all least worried about.
