Ian Hunter live in Essen Germany (April 19, 1980)

Ian Hunter, frontman of Mott The Hoople, one of the greatest bands of the 1970s (unfortunately I can't find any Mott shows on YouTube ), in concert on German TV's Rockpalast series.

Backed by sideman extraordinaire Mick Ronson (RIP) Hunter performs several Mott classics like "All The Young Dudes", "All The Way From Memphis", the gorgeous ballad "Irene Wilde", and "I Wish I Was Your Mother", one of the most beautiful songs of our age.

Other highlights include Hunter's post-Mott "Once Bitten Twice Shy" and "Cleveland Rocks", Ronson's reworking of the Richard Rodgers ballet "Slaughter On Tenth Avenue", and Hunter's cover of Sonny Bono's "Laugh At Me".
