It isn't moot because it was a question that has an answer that isn't affected by any event that occurred in the interim.
If it were moot, it would have had to be mooted by something like we got both of them or neither of them. #TMYK

It doesn't matter because of the qb situation at Lsu we had no one to get the ball to them
